The Maldron Hotel Glasgow is a new, modern 4-star hotel located in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Situated within walking distance to many of Glasgow’s finest attractions such as Georges Square, The Royal Concert Hall & Buchanan Galleries.
high level
The high level built up text on this project was fitted 40 metres above ground level. All Norsign Operatives are fully qualified to be working at height and our installation team is PASMA and IPAF trained. Prior to commencing this installation at height our fitters ensured that the work activities have been properly assessed, planned and organised. Harnesses, safe scaffold platforms, edge protection and fall arrest devices were used throughout this install. Consideration was also given to forecasted weather conditions that could endanger health and safety when scheduling these works.
As the installation locations on this contract meant we were working in areas where the public had access. Our team put measures in place to protect the public in line with Health & Safety regulations such as clear warning signs and erecting barriers to prevent foot traffic under sign positions.
We consulted with external consultants HILTI Engineers who offered competent fixing solutions to the design challenges regarding the high level signage on this project. On the external signage, we also carried out structural calculations prior to manufacture to ensure the security of this sign being fitted at height.
brand identity
We collaboratively worked with McAleer & Rushe and the Client team on producing the specification and design of all signage on this project to fit the aesthetic of the building and brand guidelines respectively. Effective wayfinding contributes to the overall impression of this hotel, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
The signage in The Maldron isn’t just functional, it contributes to the overall ambiance and guest satisfaction while being an extension of their brand identity.
