stockton-on-tees

borough council

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council purchased Dunedin House, situated in Teesdale Business Park in North Thornaby, and appointed Esh Group to carry out a major programme of remodelling and refurbishment to provide a more collaborative and flexible working environment for the Council’s employees.

design

Based on Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s brand guidelines, and indicative designs provided by P+HS Architects, our in house design team worked alongside Esh Construction to develop the specification and final design for the external signage, internal wayfinding, feature signs and manifestations on this project.

Using our consultants knowledge and experience we advised on the best sign solutions, identified designs and materials which supported the brief and delivered high quality outcomes keeping in line with the Council Guidelines. Our design team drew up each individual sign as per the specification agreed showing the materials to be used, colour references, specification, size and the location for installation. The drawings were submitted to the client for approval prior to manufacture commencing and are also used during installation to ensure accuracy of placement within the building.

manifestations

On this project the manifestations included a variety of extremely detailed designs. We produced samples of each type of manifestation with various densities of frost effect on each design to be reviewed on site and approved by the end user. Due to the design and volume of manifestations at Dunedin House we had to ensure consistency of the manifestations to be applied throughout the building and to do this we ordered all window films from the same batch in one order.

Norsign developed a programme of work for installation of signs and manifestations taking into account all other trades working on the site. Factors taken into consideration were deadlines for the other trades such as painters and decorators and glazing contractors, both of which had to be completed prior to our arrival on site to install the signage and manifestations.

Contact our team to discuss the range of standard and bespoke manifestations to meet the design requirements and safety guidelines on your projects.
